The SoftPaws Family

 My name is Suzie and I am the owner of Suzie SoftPaws.  My love for pets started when I was very young.  However, I did not have my first dog until I was 14 years old.  My mother bought a miniature poodle and named him Babyduck.  I was always fascinated when Babyduck came home from the groomer because he was so pristine, and his feet were AMAZING, so round and fluffy.  That was how my love for grooming started.  I always knew I wanted to be a groomer and after 12 years on active duty, I separated and went for my dream.   Taking care of dogs is my passion and making sure they are as comfortable as possible is my most important job.   

Hi, I’m Lisa! I’m originally from Ohio and got my start in grooming through a high school vocational program. After graduating in 2009, I went on to receive my formal training and became certified in 2012. I’ve always had a deep love for animals—especially horses—and I’m currently working toward my Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching certification.

At home, I have two furbabies who keep me smiling: my dog, Cyprus, and my cat, French Fry. When I’m not grooming or spending time with animals, I love expressing my creative side through painting and other art projects.

 Hi, I’m Josie! I’m in high school and currently training to become a cat groomer. I’ve always loved animals, especially cats—I have two of my own, Moose and Indigo, who are the best little helpers. When I’m not practicing grooming skills, you can usually find me involved in my school’s theatre program. I also have a twin brother who keeps life fun and never boring! 

 Hello! My name is Katlyn, and I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. My love for animals began with my childhood dog, Dave, and only grew stronger over the years. In November 2020, I started my grooming journey as a dog bather at PetSmart before moving on to private salons in South Florida.

What drew me into grooming is the blend of care and creativity it requires. I discovered that grooming allows me to express my artistic side while making pets look and feel their best. The satisfaction of crafting a great haircut and seeing the joy it brings to both the dogs and their owners is unlike anything I had experienced in previous jobs, and it continues to motivate me every day.

At home, I share my life with two fur babies: a Belgian Malinois and a  little Snowshoe Siamese.
